Theron laid down beside a tree carving a horse into a block of wood. the moon was shining brightly down in between trees and onto the forest floor. He was humming softly to himself and not paying much attention to his surroundings. It was almost as if he were in a bit of a dream world. There was the sound of crickets chirping and owls hooting. It was actually rather peaceful. He put the block of wood down and closed his eyes softly. He slid the knife back into his shoe, and covered it up with his pants. He liked coming down to the forest at night, for the fact that most of the animals were sound asleep and it was rather peaceful. He opened his eyes again and looked up at the moon, which was glowing brightly down. The stars had already formed on contrast against the dark black sky, and everything was quiet.

OOC - Sorry about the delayed response, and that it's so short. I hope you'd like it, though. =)
An evening’s swim was always intriguing, especially under the moonlight. Mordred had decided to take the opportunity to go swimming, or rather, skinny-dipping, at the nearby lake. The air was lukewarm, so the water wouldn’t be too cold for his skin. Normally, the boy would have a guard assist him on his travels, but tonight he felt he needed to be by himself. After all, he could use the privacy, and the quiet could provide him a good chance to think.
However, he noticed soon enough on his way that he wouldn’t be alone much longer. He saw someone laying against the trunk of a tree. As he slowly approached the stranger, he could make it out to be a boy, probably around his age. He could sense something as well, but wouldn’t say anything just yet. He had to be sure, just in case someone had put a spell on the boy to trick sorcerers like him. Mordred took it upon himself to try and get to know the boy, but instead of actually heading in the boy’s direction, continued to head down the beaten path to the lake. Surely the boy would hear the rustling of Mordred’s robes, the sole outfit that the sorcerer was wearing at the moment, and be intrigued enough to tag along.

Theron's eyes shot open at the sound of leaves crunching on the forest floor. He pulled out his dagger in a strong graceful movement, and looked around. He saw no one but a boy, but maybe....Hey wait.....A boy.....He stared at the person who had just walked by him.
He kept his knife out, and began to hurl himself around trees, trying to get a better look at the young stranger. When he was now close to the boy, he stood there, leaning his head around the tree to get a better look at the kid. He was his around age, maybe a bit older. Theron put his knife between his teeth and began to climb the tree. Once he was on top, he sat on a thick branch and watched the other boy.
((OOC: XD it's fine......You type way better then me....So I don't care if it's long short, or waited for...I just want to read it ^-^))

OOC - Thank you. I like reading your posts, too. =)
He could hear brief movement behind him and smirked. The boy had indeed decided to follow along, so he was rather glad. He continued onwards to the lake, glancing up at the stars every now and then whenever it was possible. The trees did tower over him, but there were often a small or large clearing in the canopy here and there. It was a good thing, to be able to see the sky at night with all those magnificent stars. If Mordred had the time, he would’ve named them all, but instead, he happened to just gaze up above whenever he wanted to. But tonight, he was more than determined to get to the lake. The air wasn’t going to stay lukewarm all night long, he knew that.
When he reached the shore, he glanced back, pretending to be looking for someone, but making it obvious he hadn’t really heard anyone. After all, though, it was pretty much natural to ensure he had some privacy. But then he could feel someone watching from above. Did the boy climb a tree? He raised an eyebrow but smirked at his own reflection in the water as he treaded inwards. Using the reflection, he tried to spot the boy, but because the branches were probably too high away from the surface of the water, he wouldn’t be able to make the boy’s form out but only as a shadow. He unfastened his robes and tossed it on the shore, standing bare naked now. Without even glancing up, he stated calmly to the other, “Come on in, the water’s great.” Without letting the other reply, he took a chance and dove headfirst into the water.

Theron watched the other boy carefully from the safety of his tree. He didn't think the boy had noticed him until he called out to Theron. Theron began jumping down from limb to limb to the ground. There was no point staying in the tree if he had just been spotted. When he was finally down on the ground he walked toward the water and stood there.
After a bit he realized that he still had his knife in his hand, and placed it in his bag. He began to undress into the nude just the same as Mordred did. He carefully placed the clothes in his bag and then stepped in timidly, before immersing himself in water. He was now staring straight at Mordred. "Who are you?.....Y'know....I've never seen you around town...." He tilted his head to the side like a dog.

He smirked, able to hear the other boy climbing down. He was quite glad, though, but of course, he had every reason to be suspicious. He didn’t see the knife, for he had been looking away from the armed youth until after the newcomer had put it away. He turned around and started wading backwards deeper into the water, watching as his companion started to strip down to nothing just like himself. He raised an eyebrow, but shrugged with a smirk. “Didn’t think you would really go naked, kind of figured you would be a bit shy what with your hiding from me and all.”
He simply stood there, letting the water sway him around calmly, while waiting for the boy to enter the wonderful lake. Soon enough, he found the boy staring at him and smirked, “What’s the matter, never seen another boy in your whole life?” Then the inquiry on his name, the statement about his not being around town, and Mordred only frowned but not angrily. “I’m Mordred,” he stated at first, and then continued after a moment or so, “And you won’t find me coming to town quite often. My… friends and I usually camp out in the woods nowadays.” He didn’t want to let off that he was a sorcerer just yet, nor that he had people being very loyal to him.
He dove underwater and then swam towards the other’s whereabouts, popping up at the boy’s side. Mordred studied him for a moment, and then asked, basically returning the question. “Who are you?” Being curious but cautious, he also continued to ask such questions like, “Why did you follow me like that, always hiding and all? Were you worried I might hurt you or something?” After that last question, he only smirked with a slight roll of his eyes, before extending his hand to offer a friendly handshake, “It is really nice to meet you, too.”

Theron shrugged. "I'm not shy......" Sure he was timid, but never what you could call shy. "I just thought you were going to hurt me.....or something... Anyways I needed a bath...." Okay now that he said it out loud, it sounded really stupid.
He shrugged. "Haven't seen a decent person in awhile...." He looked around the woods curiously. "Oh.....Well....It's pretty calm when the beasts aren't trying to kill you..." Mordred had then snuck up upon him from under the water, and he jumped.
His fear had caused a bit of a puff of air, which was bad, because he thought he had his magic well under check. He frowned and kicked his feet under the water. "Theron.....My name's Theron..."

He scoffed out slightly, mildly amused by the boy’s wild theory that Mordred could possibly hurt him. Why would he harm a stranger right off the bat? He wasn’t the kind to do something like that. At this time he had stealthily swam to the other’s side and had managed to spook him, although it wasn’t his honest intention. He just didn’t want the boy edging away in case the child was really shy and just claiming that he wasn’t. But after all, they were both standing there in the water in only their skin. Then he saw the puff of smoke, and quickly raised an eyebrow.
He hesitated a moment before saying anything, trying to look quite nervous at first but failing to do so. He couldn’t conceal his happiness having found another that could almost do the same as himself. And one that was probably roughly his age or younger, he couldn’t know for sure at the time. Theron did sound like a nice name, and if the boy was already making a wonderful companion, then Mordred could certainly get along with this child. “Well, Theron, I saw what you just did,” he smirked in a playful manner, lowering his hand to the surface of the water ready to slap it, “And I’m glad. Don’t be scared, I knew there was something special about you but I couldn’t figure it out until you did that just now!” He slapped the water hard in the boy’s direction, but instead of the splash hitting the boy’s face, it froze and then fell into the water, having never hit the other boy in the first place. “See, I can do it, too.”

When Mordred stated that he had seen Theron's magic, he was ready to run for his life, but Mordred looked happy, and Theron was left completely confused. He frowned. "Excuse me...I'm wondering.....Aren't you going to turn me in?" His eyebrows furrowed and he bit his lip. When Mordred plashed water at him and then it froze he realized that Mordred was just the same as him, only better with control over his magic.
Theron could basically only do magic when he was frightened. The only could thing about that was he was almost always frightened. He tilted his head at the boy who seemed more experienced at magic then he was. "Your a sorcerer then?" It was a very innocent question, and he was very curious now that he met another boy about his age that was a bit like him.

He shrugged at the other’s inquiry before turning away from the boy. “It doesn’t really matter whether we’re sorcerers or druids or even supposedly normal. We’re still really all just human beings. Some are just more special than others.” Indeed, his mind was like that of a philosopher’s, but a silent one, rather. Too much thinking could ruin his magical ability in many ways more than one. He turned back facing Theron now and smiled kindly. “But it’s good to find another like me. Although, I have a feeling you might have a lot to learn.” He wasn’t quite sure, but usually his feelings were right and so he wouldn’t change his theory.
He let out a quick yawn before sinking himself lower until the water would reach up to his shoulders. He started to wade backwards until he could find his legs standing straight up, but kept his shoulders at the water surface. “So, you needed a bath,” said the boy as he chuckled, before disappearing under the water once again. A moment later, he popped up a foot or two away from where he had gone under, and called back to the other. “I wanted to go swimming. It’s fun to swim at night under the moonlight. There’s more water, it’s quieter. And the water’s calm, too. Come over here!”

He was appalled. Ever since he had come to Camelot everyone had talked about the 'scary wizards' and what not. It was odd to find some one else that shared his beliefs, but then again Mordred had magic too. He thought for a moment and then nodded. "I'm not very good at magic...I can only do it when I'm scared...."
He had been raised in a magic environment until he was five, and then decided to leave and go somewhere else. He was so foolish! How he possibly decided to stay in Camelot was beyond him. Theron swam over to Mordred when he told him to come over. "That's why I came down here in the first place. It was quiet....Well at least until you came....I mean...You were quiet, but you...scared me...." He went on gibbering.

OOC - So sorry it took so long. I have so many posts I have to do! xD Had Writer's Block for a while, I still do.
He shrugged, not sure what to say or do at this moment. “Well, don’t be afraid, then. Just because someone says that magic is evil, doesn’t necessarily mean it is. I know for a fact I’m not evil, and I’m fairly certain you aren’t, either.” He smirked, then started to head for the shore, feeling that his swim was done. Whether the other would follow, was entirely up to the boy. Mordred was soon emerging from the water onto the shore; he reached for one of Theron’s shirts and looked back, asking politely, “Mind if I use this to dry off?”
If it was granted, he would use it, indeed. But if not, he would just sit and dry off, time permitting. It wasn’t really moist in the air, nor was it too hot for sweat, so he would’ve been fine either way. “I’m quiet because I choose to be,” he said calmly as he glanced around the lake. “It helps me to think sometimes, and keeps me alert for anything that could be intrusive. What about you? Why do you like to talk?” He smirked again, having made a joke, however mild it was, about Theron’s babbling. "Are you nervous, shy, or something?"

theron waded into shallow water after Mordred. "I don't really think magic is evil either, and I don't think I'm evil....." He pondered on it for a very long time, until he was brought back to reality by Mordred asking if he could use one of his shirts to dry off. Theron nodded without a second thought, and grabbed his pants. He hadn't been wearing any underwear, because he didn't have any.
He put on his pants, and then his shoes and an undershirt. He didn't have any socks either. He searched his bag for his knife, and found it after a bit. He pulled it out, and it glimmered slightly in the moonlight. He placed it in his shoe, and looked through his bag a bit more to make sure everything was in its place. He tried to be as quiet as possible when Mordred stated that he had been talking quite a bit.
He blushed profusely. He had only been talking so much, because he was nervous. He shrugged. "I guess I just like to talk." He was still blushing madly.
((OOC: XD It's fine! I get writers block a lot -.-))

He shrugged. He could sense that his newfound companion was nervous, but he didn’t want to make it any nervous by actually acknowledging it. Instead, he simply reached down and picked up his robe, wrapping it around himself before he handed back the shirt to the other. “It will dry up quick if you hang it somewhere.” He explained, although he was more than confident that Theron would’ve known that already. Many people in this time and age often washed and dried their clothes this way. Detergent and dryer sheets weren’t around at the time, though, so they couldn’t exactly enjoy the luxuries of today’s modern world.
“Anyway, come with me,” he said to the boy as he started for the path. “You can stay at the camp for the night, I would prefer you do just that.” He was rather stern about it, but he wasn’t too strict. If Theron would’ve preferred going elsewhere or back to wherever he could call home, that was his choice. Mordred couldn’t force him, he wouldn’t. He wasn’t that kind of sorcerer. Merlin was, the traitor who dared to trip him during his most recent escape from the knights of Camelot. Mordred pretty much misunderstood Merlin, but right now his anger at the young man’s betrayal was enough to cloud his actual judgment. Besides, why would Merlin try to stop him? Someday he would find out, but for now, he was more concerned about Theron. He was already along the path when he turned back to see if he was following along. If so, they would keep going until they got to the camp.

Theron nodded and put the shirt in his bag. He began to keep pace behind Mordred as he talked. He strayed behind a bit when Mordred told him he should stay at the camp. "D-Don't you think someone will mind?" He started walking faster.
He was now right beside Mordred. "I mean..I don't mind coming down or anything..." He was starting to talk to much again. "But if I go down there will anyone care?" He wasn't just afraid that no one would want him there.
He was also a bit scared that he wouldn't be able to keep his magic under control. With all the untimely occurrences in the last hour or so he was feeling very nervous, and that was usually when his magic ran amok.
