Hi just happened to stumble upon this site last night while googling around. I registered and now hoping my Character Isolde will be accepted. *fingers crossed*. I was looking at your knights and thinking I could rp a knight and thinking of which knight; that Tristan quickly came to mind. Then Isolde came to mind whom I've rped before and at one time she was my main character I was rping. She would have to be my favourite I've rped, so last night I jumped back and forward to whom I would be more wanting to rp Tristan or Isolde, I just can't take the opportunity to rp my much beloved character, so here I am. lol...
So little about myself. My names is Jessica and I live in Australia. I started Rping when I was in the 7th grade so at least 10 years I've been doing this and I remember the first RPG, it was a small horse rpg which grew into something quite big before it died a few years after. I have been in mostly fantasy rpgs from Horse rpgs, Harry potter rpgs, Medieval rpgs and Comic book rpgs etc. I even had my own RPG at the time when Avidgamers was alive and it was quite something for a while. It was a Lord of the rings rpg. I'm am a huge Lord of the rings fan and I'm excited for The Hobbit films.
I've been quite a fan of Merlin since it started, though it hasn't been my fave show, That has been Lost and Smallville, but as they have ended, Merlin is slowly taking place. I also love the King Arthur Film. I've always liked Sir Lancelot, I find him nicely layered Particularly like the film version of him. I also like Sir Galahad who was Sir Lancelot's son. But my favourite Arthurian legend is Tristan and Isolde. I don't like the potion versions, but I like the view on the strength of their love they had. I like the real love versions. The story has been told different ways for so many centuries its bound change over time, but the bases of it I find just quite beautiful.
If Isolde is accepted I'm trying to plan her arrival in Camelot I think having her traveling by ship for some odd reason and it crashes near Britain. Having her not recognisable so she takes on a commoner life as this maybe her chance of a more normal life. Isolde is quite a good healer in some versions called the best in the world (I'm not going that far as I myself am not at all, lol). So thinking somehow she comes to help Gaius or something along those lines, if I can get her in there somewhere I can get her to interact with certain characters that I think could work wondrous. I think at some point I would have her identity revealed, perhaps have it that her Father believes she was saved by someone or more in Camelot and form an Alliance which could keep her in Camelot. Her father was enemy of Arthur in the legends, but Arthur defeats him. So I think could work in well.
I think Merlin could relate to her with the secret part and they are both kind characters should mix well. I could see her getting along with Arthur, I'm thinking a sister/brother kind of relationship as they are both royals wanting a more normal life and Tristan will be one of his knights so the sister/brother relationship could reflect that. Gaius and Isolde being both Healers could make a great friendship, She could learn more from him.
I'm like totally babbling on I do that often, lol.
If anyone wishes to pitch in with some thoughts or ideas on what I can bring to Isolde on here let me know and I am totally open to plots... You don't know how many are already turning in my head as of now, lol...
